So much tree planting this season! Our outreach team and community members in the buffer areas of the Outamba Kilimi National Park (OKNP) working tirelessly during this rainy season to reforest the land. 🌳 🌲 🌳
OKNP still faces many environmental challenges like illegal timber logging, illegal mining, poaching and encroachment. Community driven conservation projects can help to educate about environmental protection and work to preserve this biodiversity hotspot home to so many magnificent creatures! 🐒🦉🐘
Thanks to #EUCORD for ongoing support in the region!
Tacugama has secured support from organizations such as USAID, European Union, World Bank, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and several other prominent institutions. However, the reality is that with the numerous challenges we’re facing in Sierra Leone, we need all the help we can get.
Tacugama has several conservation and community centred projects that are ready to be scaled and replicated in other parts of the country. Can your organization help take one of our projects to the next level?
Please reach out to Aram Kazandjian, Managing Consultant at Friends of Tacugama, at aram@tacugama.com to learn about ways you can support Tacugama.
