This is Loma Mountains National Park🙌🍀
For last year’s Giving Day For Apes we fundraised for the protection of Loma Mountains National Park (LMNP), the home of 1,200 wild chimpanzees.
Your help was an incredible aid and boost to the work Tacugama and its rangers conduct in the park.
However, up to now the rangers are mainly conducting patrols on the border of the protected area. Patrolling inside the park requires even further equipment to camp out at night and go on longer surveillance missions to be able to patrol inside the forest (tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, head torches, backpacks, compasses, etc.). These longer patrols can last 2 to 4 days depending on which community they start from and where they patrol inside the park.
That is why we aim to raise USD 4,000 for World Ranger Day 2022 to cover the necessary equipment our rangers need to expand the scope of their patrols.
Are you with us? Support our heroes of wildlife conservation!
Every penny counts!
